Compatibility

Your phone and TV should be on the same Wi-Fi network. Availability depends on what the TV advertises and what each media format requires.

Samsung and other DLNA TVs

FlipZi can discover compatible DLNA MediaRenderers and send supported personal photos, videos, and audio directly over the local network. PDF pages can be presented as supported images. A remembered TV is not shown as connected unless it is found in the current scan.

Screen mirroring

Stock Samsung TVs use the phone's system casting experience, such as Smart View on supported Samsung phones. FlipZi does not claim that a stock Samsung TV is a FlipZi receiver. Protected video may appear black because of DRM or HDCP restrictions.

FlipZi receiver

A compatible FlipZi receiver supports secure PIN pairing and receiver-confirmed output. Capabilities are checked before a feature starts; unsupported routes remain visible with an explanation rather than being reported as working.

iPhone and iPad

Apple devices use platform-supported local-network discovery and AirPlay or compatible media routes where available. A television's AirPlay and media support determine the final result.
